My mom just gave me a Louis Marx & Company train set, in original box, which says MARX Steam Type Electric Train. How do I go about finding out the value? What year it was made?
The box has the number “4225” on the side. The engine is black and has the number “490” on it. There are 4 other “pieces”, telephone poles, track and the tranformer.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Regina

I bought a complete set on E-Bay that was brand new in the box from the 70’s never opened for $7.00. I bought it to stage crashes on my test track. Not worth much. Sorry. The track was worth it though[:D]
