FineScale Modeler Magazine Binder
Binder overall is excellent. Wish it came with a clip-on tab to identify the date range of the contents. I have to hunt and peck to find the binder I want.
A superior product. These use metal rods that are easy to use while the binder itself is very well constructed of good quality materials. The binder itself is a hard cover with a leather look and feel. The gold lettering on the spine lend a touch of class and they look great on the bookshelf. The magazines stay in the binder and they can be mounted without modifying them in any way. Far superior to a plastic ring binder that requires that holes be punched in the magazines or the use of a plastic magazine holder that is not sturdy or rigid enough. I highly recommend these as a great way to keep all your copies of Fine Scale Modeler organized by year for quick and easy access. And they look great too!
It works great, I had a couple extra spines left over after putting some 13? Mags into it. Overall A great product for the price. I look forward to ordering more in the future.
These are excellent binders. Over the years, involving many different magazines, I have tried to find a good storage solution. Library-style holders allow the magazines to slip down and assume a curved set. Regular binders requires holes to be punched in the magazines, and the curved rings allow the issues to bind up when you try to leaf through the magazines. Binders with plastic spines are better, but the spines are too flexible. The Kalmbach binders use metal rods run through the middle of magazines; they hold the issues securely, but allow a reader to easily leaf through the magazines. The Kalmbach binders are of a very sturdy construction, from the covers to the metal spines to the metal rods. And they are very attractively stamped with the name of the magazine. Well worth the cost.
