Firms named to design Kansas City streetcar facilities
Kansas City, Missouri.
It’s KCMO Bill
KC, MO i bet
I am as big a tax-and-spend liberal as anyone, but $102 million for a four-streetcar, two-mile system??? $20 million for a maintenance facility for the four cars???
How ironic: all these cities (LA, Denver, KC, etc) all had good streetcar lines. Now they need to rebuild them at astronomical costs. Simply amazing!
What limitations are thee in this proposal that would prevent expansion in the future?
What a laugh. Why don’t they build something Kansas Citians would actually ride?
The big MO
KCMO
KCMO
The two endpoints are in Missouri.
It’s KCMO, Crown Center is East across Main street from KC Union Station and the River Market is 2 miles north of that. Both are on Main Street which runs North/South.
John Chambers
KC, MO.
If they don’t say otherwise, it generally means KCMO which is much bigger, for example, the Federal Reserve Bank, the big sports teams and Union Station are all in KCMO (but there are major freight yards in both, KS-wise, notably the ex-ATSF Argentine yard in KCKS).
Crown Center would be KCMO
Typical government thinking. Build the facility just big enough for the starter system, with no concern for future expansions.
Is that KC, KS or KC, MO?
LRV, heritage, other? I wonder what the equipment will look like?
