We don’t have to wait until the end of May for the first NS heritage SD70ACe to show up. Savannah & Atlanta #1065 has been completed and painted at Muncie. Hopefully the remaining heritage SD70ACes will show up in the next few weeks.

It sure is one fantastic looking locomotive. If only all NS units were painted in this scheme! My biggest wish is to see this unit and the Central of Georgia unit run as a set down here in Georgia. Assigning both units to power the Savannah to Atlanta & Atlanta to Savannah intermodal trains would be best thing the railroad has done with any of these heritage units to date!
