First run of SD45-2 and F45 locomotives on a new canyon section

WOW! Hard to believe that we are looking at models. Nice job - should inspire all the rest of us to improve.

Wonderful rock cuts and foliage. Also the boaters are great.

Great blending of sight and sound. The exhaust simulation really puts this one in a class of its own. Nice scenery and signal work, too. Thanks for sharing…

Particularly like the flange squeal and flat wheel sounds. Now that’s what real trains sound like!

The video of the Santa Fe was outstanding. It really looked real. The sound quality was awsome, I thought I was watching a real train when I watched it in full screen view.
Keep up the great work, and my complements to the engineer of this great layout.

kool its looks good

Excellent, let us in on the exhaust! Please.

Terrific! This is very nice!

I have never before been tempted to comment on the videos but this one is absolutely excellent and I thoroughly endorse all the previous comments - very realistic indeed.

fantastic sceanery and sound i just loved it

how did they get the realistic sound and exhaust from these model engines on the layout. I have heard other engines but not so realistic.

This was a great video, it looked so real, and the exhust was an added touch. Weathering was excellent along with the scenery, track and signaling. Keep up the good work, and show us more.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!

Very very nice, keep up the good work. I can only hope my layout turns out this nice.

Modeling the railroad at its best. All of the elements of modeling come together in a profoundly realistic representation of what one sees, feels, hears and senses trackside.

Perhaps, one day I will be able to treat everyone to something like this (doubtfully as great as this) with the passenger fleet from the 1950’s running through Glorieta Pass.

That is my goal.

Stupendo!

This is very superior modeling. However, I don’t recall that the old Santa Fe ever railroaded in granite canyon country which is more typical of the Rio Grande or the Canadian Trnascontinentals. The Santa Fe started in Chicago, crossed the Great Plains, wound through the rolling hill country of Southern Colorado ( Raton Pass ) and than crossed the Desert Southwest amid red rock canyons and sagebrush hills. to Southern California.
Still, the creator of this fine a scene is entitled to invoke the two golden rules: Rule One, it’s my layout and Rule Two, see rule one!

Great detail and sound. Hope to see more in the future.

Wonderful! I model in Sn3 where there are lots of good modelers…this is as good as I’ve ever seen…thank you!

I apologize but with all of the detail that you put in to this scene with the exhaust smoke and sound…why were there no mars lights on top of the engines? My Father and I had a hugh HO basement layout when I was a kid and the flashing mars lights that my Dad installed in all of our engines was always a delight! Overall it is a great video with attention to detail!!!
