I think you are saying that the lights on your layout dim when you turn on a blinking light. My guess is that you need a more powerful source of electricity. Either get another source for the blinking light or a more powerful unit. Let folks know what you are using for power source. Also what you have hitched to it, then they can tell you if you are at or near the power limit.

That must be one large bulb or one small power source to make the lights dim. I agree that you should get another power source. The auxiliary power out of a power pack usually doesn’t provide much capacity
