92 Degrees was the high today. The lemonade did have ice? Actually I shouldn’t complain I’ve been inside all day in the A/C. Last nite thou storms knocked a tree down on the power lines no power for 4 hours.

I had some errands to run today and had a/c on in Millie. Had to wait in a line for a few min, so turned off the a/c and rolled down all the windows. I had forgotten how nice it was just to have 45 mph a/c. It was a little humid, but still felt good. And you can sing at the top of your lungs and no one can hear you, since they all had their windows up good and tight! [:-,]
Storms to the north, storms to the south, and me bone dry in the middle…
Another hot day today, played Rochester for my mother today, she needed help picking up some things at the local Walmart, she is on restricted duty from her hernia surgery for a while yet. Other than that, just puttered around the house today, getting ready to go back out into the truck tomorrow. I have a feeling the semi will not be shut off for several days, except when I’m inside the truck stops…
I can finally call the living room finished, did the last of the trim work yesterday, now everything matches, and the door frame to the kitchen was removed and oak boards were installed. Not bad for my first attempt at trim work…
Keep the liquids coming, I have a feeling I’m going to need two cases of water in the truck for this tour of duty…
Going to go up to 91F feeling like 110F tomorrow…you get the idea…the only thing is is that tomorrow evening is the only time we are supposedly going to see thunderbumpers…if any do show up…
Starting off here in Louisville with a temp of 76 degrees, going up to mid to upper 90s again this afternoon, with a chance of a pop up storm early evening. I did hear on the morning news that everyone who was without power here in Jeff. Co., the power is now back on.
Mookie, you are the “Hostice with the Mostice” around here!
Mudchicken, what kind of critter was lurking on the outside of the front door?
Randy: got 4 cases of water for you. Will that hold you on your trip, or do you need a couple more cases?
Coffee, juices, Gatorade, lemonade, limeade, fruit punch, iced teas (sweet & unsweetened), and ice cold bottles of water are all ready to go. Breakfast is on the breakfast bar.
Going to be a looonng day: Produce/Bread trucks this morning, come home, get on computer to pay the bills, then go to the grocery for a few items, and to the bank for bus tickets.
For Lunch, have a whole big tray of club/hoagie sandwiches made up for everyone.
Everybody have a good morning, keep cool and safe and see you all sometime this afternoon, early evening, hope

Good Morning Railfans!
It’s 68F and heading for the middle 90’s. Yesterday we broke the record high (again!) at 101F; how may records does that make already cry
FIRE News:
Sadly in South Dakota two Fire Fighters lost their lives when the C-130 they flew crashed. Currently all C-130s are now grounded while they look into the cause.
Fires in Colorado still burn BUT, the crews have made some serious headway and rain is slowly moving in and folks here keep hoping.

Hmm…I thought it was “The quick brown fox jumped over the sly rabbit”
At least Nigel is guarding his domicile.
Lunch TIme Railfans
Have I mentioned it’s HOT and look were the heat seems to be centered at… - YUK!!!
It’s pleasant today - in the low 80’s, partly cloudy with a nice breeze.
I do fear that Carl’s thunderbumpers will arrive here just in time for the evening’s planned fireworks. I’ll be on the mountain bike, running EMS patrol downtown on the waterfront.
Getting some laundry done while it’s nice out - I love the smell of line-dried cloths.
Lunch is out of the way - time to get back to work!
Mutt - if that fox would carry a bag of birdseed, she would have a freezer full of bunny!
Hello Everyone. I recently read of a {maybe 3}, passenger trains…{Amtrak}, to start running into {thru ?}, Roanoke. Believe it might have been in “Railroad News”.
Projected to start this Dec. Question…Has anyone caught that rail news item, and if so, would anyone know if it would be on the route we can watch from the hotel cam…?
Item: Our heat continues. 98 plus something here today, and heat advisory all this week for this area. And of course, Indiana humidity.
The rain turned out to be a non-event - some drizzle which cleared up in plenty of time for the fireworks. In fact, the only thing that delayed the fireworks was two upbound ships. The second was a tanker, and those are usually loaded with all sorts of stuff that doesn’t do well around fireworks…
Headed to daughter’s house for a picnic tomorrow afternoon. At least most of the traffic will be headed south when I’m headed north later in the day.
Tired from pedalling around town before the fireworks (EMS bike). Time for bed.
Happy Fourth of July!!!
We are in the middle of a few more days of stick and gum…93F feeling like 109F today…staying at home with the AC on…and cold water at my side…
Good Wednesday morning and Happy Birthday, America!![bday] [bday]
It’s going to be a very hot, humid day here in Louisville (although I’ve only been up about 40 minutes, so haven’t heard a weather report this morning). Like Quentin, we saw a high yesterday of 98 degrees, and I think, last night at 6, the heat index was 109, 110 degrees. It is already hot and sticky outside: just came in from giving outside cats/kittens fresh water (put ice cubes in it, too).
Coffee, juices and all the other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go. And on the breakfast bar: pancakes and waffles with little American flags stuck in the center of them. Plenty of real maple syrup to go with the pancakes and waffles, or there is blueberry, strawberry syrup to go on them, with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage. Getting ready to put a 1/2 sheet cake in the oven, and will be decorating it to look like an American flag for later this afternoon. The extendable awning will be going over the patio, so we can enjoy being outside this afternoon.
Everybody have a good morning, take care if you’re traveling to be with family/friends for the 4th and please keep safe today, so we’ll see you all back in here tomorrow.
triple h’s with triple digits for the next few days.Cw just salads today.Hope our canadian friend doesn’t get fried in Deshler.Back to work tonight.
stay safe
Joe
Joe, there are plenty of salads, just about every kind you can think of, along with hot dogs, steaks, pork chops, chicken, veggie kabobs, corn on the cob, etc., just off the grills.
Our heat index is already up to about 110, if I heard the noon report correctly, and I believe I did. So everyone keep well hydrated, stay as cool as possible, and take care for the rest of the afternoon. See you all later, maybe towards early evening.
Something cold with ice.
It’s 97F today in SW Arkansas!
Stay cool if you can.
