flexicoil sideframes

Af ew years back there was a Canadian company that made parts for Canadian prototypes .They made a set of Flexicoil sideframes that could be used on the Lifelike EMD switcher. The name was Point 1 Models . Their web page point1models.com does not come up anymore .Does anyone know if they are around or how to reach them.Or another source for Flexicoil sideframes?

This company is a distributor of Point 1 Models products, so you could contact them with your question. Hope this helps.

I used Athearn SW1500 trucks that included flexicoil sideframes when I kitbashed a light weight CN GP9:

You can also buy the separate sideframe sets from Athearn. They are very nicely detailed.

The SW1500 sideframe set is part #39020 for $4.50, the front power truck is #39021 for $8.25 and the rear power truck is #39022 also for $8.25

You can find these on the Athearn website at:

Here’s a shot of my (modified Athearn) SW1200RS units with the same Athearn flexicoil trucks:

The Athearn Flexicoil sideframes are excellent. I’ve used them on my NYNH&H DEY-7 (SW1200) switchers.

If you can find them, Train Station Products produced some great sideframes. They do not produce diesel detail parts anymore so you will really have to do some searching.
