As a followup to the SD10 post I made, I reached out to Seth Cullers of NREX via email, and he stated this in an email on December 12, 2025:
“All the SD9s were scrapped” -Seth Cullers
This involves EVERY SD9 on NREX’s roster, examples are: ex-SP SD9E #4338, ex-BNSF SD9 #6112, and the after-mentioned ex-MILW SD10s (CP #534 and SOO #543).
All of the SD9s on NREX’s roster are gone. And the response I asked was “So basically every first gen diesel on NREX was cut up?”, as of today no response has been made for that, yet. So…
