For those who wonder about PNWR SD9E 1854 (ex-SP 4433)

For those who wonder about Portland and Western SD9E 1854, formerly known as Southern Pacific SD9E 4433, it is still in storage at the Albany and Eastern Railroad (AERC), and recently has lost its G&W logo, and possibly its 1854 number.

While it did have a hole drilled into its prime mover, AERC (and possibly RFC) had the engine welded back in place so it could function again.

Let me know what you think 1854 will look like when work on it has been completed. I hope it becomes SP 4433 again, and returns to its red and gray livery.

Why I said ''red and gray''?

Which, I’ll just say it as “blood nose” since I have a feeling that the word “blood” with on “y” on the end seems a bit insensitive, like a bit of a swear word. So, I’ll say either “blood nose” or “red-and-gray”.

Big thanks to Skylar Wilkerson for showing proof that 4433 is still alive. (I say 4433 for now because in the future, it won’t be 1854 anymore.)

I wonder what AERC or RFC will change 1854 into, I hope it returns as SP 4433.
