For you Century Club Turbine Fans!

This Baby is Smokin’!

That engine is beautiful.[bow] I had a Williams Turbine once, but I should have never traded that engine in, i’m so stupid!!! [banghead] I had that engine for 4 or 5 years. I am going to buy another one of those some day.

Great pics!

The first train set I received as a kid was a used turbine kit. It was a 682 and I loved it. Thanks for bringing back some memories.

JO

Marty,

Does your loco have sound and if so what kind of sound does it make?

Yes with sounds. I’ll post a video later!

Marty, what kind of smoke fluid are you using? It appears to be smoking dark smoke like prototypical locos, does it leave any residue on your layout? Thanks

Eric

I am using MTH smoke. I just rewicked the smoke unit with Tiki torch wicking. I took the burnt resistor cover off. No special chemicals just a trick of light.

Here’s a daylight shot…

and another…

Video to follow as soon as Google goes on line with it.

And here’s the video with sound from Google…

Century Club 671

Nice Marty, REALLY NICE. Wish the sound was better. I thought I heard that turbine whoooosh!

It has the whistle from the lionelmaster hudson!

Thanks Marty.

I’m a big fan of the Turbines. Looks great and smokes awesome. I defenitly gonna try to get one.

My only complaint is that the smoke unit fan motor runs all the time. Even when the smoke element is off via Cab1.
