I do not have java at work so no need to have it here. Actually I bring up several versions of IE so I have Rochelle on 1 version & Ft. Madison on another & I use a 3rd version for my Email etc. Sometimes I get lucky I see coal trains destined for the generating plant their on the old CB&Q
I do not but I read in the AAA tour guide book it was the longest some kind of bridege in the world. The Illinois end just leads to what I would say are backroads at best. The best shot is not seen on webcam it is the WBer exiting the bridge & then make a left hand turn to come dow the straigh away so you can super head on shots if that is your thing as their is a parking lot right across the street from the exit point & the curve. I day I was their I saw UPRR/BNSF/CNRR & Amtrak.
Yes it is the BNSF transcon line to/from Chicago. Besides the CNRR I have seen UPRR/BNSF/Amtrak (EB about 11/12 in the AM) & some short line whose locos I still have not been to get to fully see who they belong to. Their are also BNSF coal trains delivering coal to the generating plant their that use the old CB&Q. That is the track right up against the street.
Thanlks for the info. Do many trains come on that CB&Q spur line, because last night I saw a train, but it wasn’t a coal train. It had different goods cars, and the engines were 2 BNSF SD40’s
Yes I have occassionally seen small general merchandise traines on the CB&Q track but the majority have been the coal trains going to the generating plant that you see spewing smoke when the webcam is pointed west towards the ATSF depot. No is the answer to your question about many trains on that track. The max I have seen when I have been watching for say several hours is 1 or 2 at the most on the CB&Q track. When I was actually their for 4 hours last Oct. all I saw is trains on the BNSF trainscon their was no CB&Q action during my visit.
