Listen, no offense taken by any means and I am not on here to beat my own drum either. I only mentioned off topic matters within my explanation from the Orkin Man post. There was a time when I too was getting pretty frustrated with the types of posts being made. I thought I was sorry that I have even registered to become a member. I had given it some thought to composing a post similiar to the Orkin Man one.
When ending my moderator post, I merely gave my age and prior service record to clarify myself.
Again, no offense taken and agreeded, train related topics and discussion only.

Try running a google for “animated gifs”, and you will find many premade animations that you can use. You will also find folks offering ‘gif animater’ software applications, that allow you to make your own animations, with only a little bit of work… Which is the direction I chose, since this site does not permit the tag…
Whenever I am reading a thread, and come up to a topic that I’d rather not read…well the wise thing to do is to simply not read it…that is entirely in my power, and is a sure solution to my “problem”.
Others, having a “control” fixation might be tempted to try and complain, claiming rhat they are “harmed” by a discussion topic not conforming to their prefered POV, and work to have the topic removed. Which I think is lame as well as wrong , makes me wonder if they have burnt any good books lately…
Then, there is the illusion held by many that the sarcasm they themselves employ in discussion is somehow special, and not as out of place as the sarcasm directed at them by others. The “hey I was just being witty, not mean spirited like you are” frame of referance. The newbies in particular are subject to that type of scruitiny.

At one time I had thought about trying to get a bumper sticker like those found on school buses and fuel tankers, This vehicle stops at all railroad crossings.
