AH my first poll,I am no longer poll-less,some how I thought it would feel different. Happy Holidays.
I’m not sure how I’d improve this forum as I don’t belong to any other forums to base any improvements on.
The way I see it, this forum is an open forum that has the best of both worlds.
Dealing with both the whimiscal & prototypical. Nothing wrong with that!
Sure there has been dupication of topics but I’ve found that these are from newer members. So what! Nothing wrong with that.
Everyone here is level headed as well. No major egos.
A few other email groups I’ve belonged too were open minded as long as you went with what the moderator said.
I’ll end it here before I get off on a rant.

[#ditto] Like it the way it is,
[#ditto] It’s an open forum with all sorts of places to express ones thoughts. All sorts of
ideas and questions are abled to be brought forth and many are quickly answeared.
The vastness of knowlege{sp} on mrr is HUGE.
The Coffee Shop is best. Love the danish coffee rings. The strudel aint bad either.

Its fine as is.
[#ditto] Though, I voted better than ever. But, I haven’t been here that long. I’ve learned some things here on this forum. That’s why I voted this way.

I suppose nothing is perfect, but of all the model railroad forums that I frequent, I like this one the best.

I find it to be a great resource for modeling info. It’s easy enough to pass on the stuff that I have no intrest in.I don’t care who hates what railroad, etc.I just want to improve my modeling and help someone else when I can.Theres room for everybody.
Me too! While you always get some who delight in being a problem, I think if you ignore them they’ll get bored and go somewhere else.
Enjoy

Like it the way it is.
I’m new here but I think it’s fine. One thing I might suggest is that they have sections for the various scales rather than all lumped together.
I like it just the way it is. There’s a tremendous amount of useful information available. Most of the time egos are kept in check and differences of opinions are expressed calmly. People are more than willing to share their knowledge and experience so everyone benefits and learns. I particularly enjoy the coffee shop. It’s a good place to hang out and get to know other model railroaders from all over the world.
Have Fun,

We’re doing just fine here. I sure appreciate both the perspective and the expertise from the folks here.
I’m on numerous other railroad/model railroad forums, and this is the best of the lot.
nothing is perfect, theres lots of great information and great people on this forum, i wouldnt risk screwing it up trying to make trivial improvements.
I would like to eliminate the post count and the stars. Although I like the new format, I believe there are many more grammer and spelling errors in the posts since the upgrade and that does take away from my enjoyment.
Thanks for providing this free service. - Ed
Why? You have 3 stars and 500 posts! I’ll never get that far up the ladder. I will agree that there are too many grammar and spelling errors and will admit that I am guilty on all counts when a hurry. But, I also proofread what I am typing and try to get the point across in few words. Someone else said it before me but it seems we both agree that all lower case and no punctuation drives us all crazy. There’s nothing I would change in this forum at all. There are far to many here that know more than I ever will on what I need to know to build and the more stars the more knowledgable they are to me(including yourself). I call it respect for my peers and the newbies look to you for information on everything you (and me) have forgotten through the years. We are the best model railroaders in the world and this is where I come to read and learn to become even better. I will now leave the soapbox and wish all a very Merry Christmas. Sorry if I sounded condescending.

I couldn’t think of anything to improve this forum. I think it is the best place on the net to learn and converse with other experienced model railroaders and to find out anything about trains.
I think its pretty good
I think the forums are fine as they are. I don’t find every topic interesting, but I never do on bulletin boards. What may not interest me may be of great interest to someone else. Overall, I think there is a pretty good mix of posts.
