Happened on April 6, 1979, when SP 2872 caught fire at Modesto, California on its journey to Fresno, California. I don’t know exactly how that happened (maybe a turbocharger failure?), because I was meant to do some research on SP 2870, but accidently typed 2872 for an accident involving the geep. Which has now led to this post being made today.
