Freight Train on the movie Used Cars

What railroad company was it that went by towards the end of Used Cars when Gerrit Graham’s character drove his car onto the tow truck and jumped over the moving train? My guess would be either Southern Pacific or Santa Fe.

I was wondering also… the engines looked like Baldwins… they were smoking like crazy too. This also happens to be my favorite movie and have it on DVD.[^]

Never heard of it, whats it about?

This ought to give you a clue: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081698/ [;)]

I’ll check it out…

I enjoyed watching it back in the 1970’s.If the locos were Baldwins I wonder if it would be the Trona or the Sierra railroads? Joe

In the commentary on the DVD the director said it was a private mining railroad or something.

Raising the long dead here.
The railroad in question was the Magma Arizona RR in Superior AZ. They used Baldwins # 10 DRS-6-6-1500 and #9 S-12 both former McCloud River RR units.
