G scale track and switch cost

OK everyone, here’s a new guy on the block. I’ve designed my first garden layout which will include about 400 feet of track and six #6 switches 4 R’s and 2 L’s). So where do I go to get the best deal? I want to use brass frex track as I intend to go entirely with power on board. This means I’ll also need a rail bender. Can I bid this thing out or just shop each individual item? I’m in Maryland/Delaware. Thanks for specific suggestions.

healeyhill,
Garden Railway mag. is your best bet.
Shop through the advertisements and check their web sites for the best prices.

#6 Llagas about $95, $18.40 for 6’ assembled 250 aluminum.
EZAire available pre-installed on switches.
Why brass if on-board?
I use aluminum outdoors, 1400 feet total trackage, threw the brass in the terminal.
REAL good traction.

Healeyhill,

I hate pluging for any vendor but I would not have found this without seeing a previous post. Ridge Road Station is running a special with free shipping on all Aristo track & switches. I just installed 100’ of new aristo 8’ flex track and it was much easier than I was expecting. Below are some pics from my new main loop. Hope this helps![8D]

healeyhill.
Where are you located in Maryland/Delaware… You may be close to me and I am also
building my first garden railroad. St Aubins has good prices on Aristo Craft track and free shipping on track orders over $250.00, which you will far exceed. Compare prices
on the dealers web sites, as they all run specials. Maybe you will have better luck than me,as it seems that everytime I buy something the next month it is on reduced price specials. Good luck.
