Galesburg, IL Railroad Days Trainshow photo essay

For those of you who couldn’t make it, I took the camera along and brought back photos of some of the featured layouts. For those of you still interested in attending, the show goes through tomorrow. It’s located at Carl Sandburg College which is on the northwest side of town. $5 admission.

Several shots from the Bloomington/Normal N-Trak Club layout.

And a few shots for the hi-rail crowd.

A 4 X 8 N scale private display layout with some impressive mountain scenery.

Another N-Scale layout, this one built inside a shadow box.

A close up of one of the scenes from this model.

A little Z-scale layout. I know 'cause it says so…

Ahhh,Nice pictures of my two favorite scales.

My parents lived in Galesburg when I was in college, late 1970’s. Over the years I have made several trecks back to Galesburg for the train show. I have been dissapointed as the “train” part of the show has been declining, becoming more of a community carnival rather than a train show. My last Galesburg show was 2004.

Topeka KS, used to have a fantastic train show too, but it is now gone.

Thanks for sharing the photos.
