Hi.Is the flooding going to have any impact on the Galesburg doings next weekend.Im planning on driving down from Appelton Wi.Will there be more detours or different rail movements.Hope all goes as planned.Looking forward to it as is my brother…Thanks in advance for any info.
Between flooding and detour moves it is awful hard to predict what the situation will be next weekend., but I have to think there will be some impact. I railfanned Rochelle yesterday (Friday) and it was as busy as I have ever seen it. I suspect some of the BNSF traffic was in fact detour traffic.
It may be some vendors at the model train show might have their own challenges since some come from the St Louis area.
Assuming Kalmbach has their usual tent at the depot maybe we’ll see you and your brother there.

I would expect a few less trains than normal through Galesburg, but there should still be plenty going through there. The main thing effected would be coal trains, but the Chillicothe Sub still should be running.
