my comp. crashed and got it fixed but train sim wont work with cd in.it is reading errors
error reading train database file and c:\program files\microsoftgames\trainsimulator\dwmdrivers.dat second error reads c:\programfiles\microsoftgames\trainsimulator\dxdiag.txt any sugestions on how to fix problems would be great.
First suggestion is to completely uninstall it and reinstall it.
Second suggestion is to install it over the new install and get the patch installed too.

If ya didnt get it to work…This improved sounds capacity soundcfg.dat could be the solution:

Try that once or this here Sound Acceleration which is set in DirectX. Run “dxdiag” in Windows/Start/Run and then adjust the Sound Acceleration slider to Basic if your are having Sound related crashes
