Good Day Folks!
As stated earlier, I just moved into my first house, and will be starting my first layout. My question is, I would like post my progress, would I use the same thread, or start a new one for my updates? I am sure I will be seeking advice, every step of the way [:D]. I will be working in HO, and with the advice given in my last post, I will be starting with a 4x8 that can be expanded into a bigger layout at a later date.
Doesn’t really matter, though I suppose you might want to post on the “layouts and layout building” thread; seems most people who’ve had specific questions or pictures concerning their layout progress usually post there.

You could do it either way. You could title a thread, Layout’s Progress. You could also post photos in Weekend Photo Fun. You could also post this thread any where you want. More people are in General Discussion, but it might fit more in Layouts and Layout building. Your choice.

You could also just post updated links to your photo server account or web site - with a couple of “teaser” pics posted in your thread to pique interest. I have a “Recent news” page on my web site.

You could set up your own web site, if your ISP has that option for you.
I put my pictures on Railimages. It’s a free site, but if you can handle it, they have a subscription service to help offset their costs. Subscribers get more space for pictures. The pictures on Railimages can be easily linked over here.
Weekend Photo Fun is my favorite venue for displaying my pictures to the community at large. Sometimes I don’t have much to show, and I just look at other people’s great photos. Other times, I’m so excited that I start the thread myself.
When I pulled my trains out of their 40-year slumber in the attic, I never dreamed they would teach me so much about photography. But, that’s why it’s the World’s Greatest Hobby, huh?
