Just hot-wire the floor to the lighting system. Simple and direct solution; one “shocking result” will end it quickly.
I am glad to see this - I once saw a passenger roll her rollaboard luggage into a puddle on the floor of the elevator at MARTA’s airport station.
Maybe they want the sensor to trigger the camera.
Would it not be better to increase the number of public bathrooms at the stations? Install fake cameras in the elevators.
One way to control the vermine that use it as a public restroom. Now for the rest of ther country to do it
Hey, I’ve got an idea! Put a grid on the floor with a low voltage/ high amperage current running through it. Then when “The Mystery Whizzer” strikes, the elevator strikes back!
PDX needs one, or two, along with a Defication Detector.
Better to spend that $10k on more jail cells for offenders.
Great idea!
This article says all you need to know about the garbage filling the cities. They don’t respect public property because they never worked a day for anything. Everything is handed to them as an entitlement. The solution is simple. Eliminate public transit in places where this is a problem. Or at minimum, take out the elevator and install cattle ramps as found at the stockyards. At least the cattle ramps can be quickly hosed down. Come to think of it, after observing hogs, a pig has more intelligence and common sense than the average recipient class member.
@ Guse: “after observing hogs, a pig has more intelligence and common sense”: somebody has alot of time on their hands in the cab of their truck. Creepy, verrrrry creepy!!!
You do have people who have prostate problems and don’t bother to see a doctor, but there really is no excuse for those people either…that’s why they make diapers.
Just guessing here but I thing it’s better to install washrooms at stations than to imprison people for what happens naturally. I’m 70 years old and my wife is 66 and we both have had times when nature calls and there is no place to go. Get a life people, every railroad station here in Italy has bathrooms. Are Americans so pure that the don’t have to go?
Europeans have solved this problem with what is essentially a fancy, open air outhouse. Low tech, low maintainence but rather unsettling for Americans though. I did get used to them and took this in stride. When you gotta go, …
Many of the public rest rooms in transit systems end up being gay pickup areas and places to get robbed which is why they no longer put them in transit systems. Along with that kids would clog the toilets and flood the place and then set the trash barrels on fire.
There need to be more (and clean) public restrooms available. Much of the public urination I witness is due to a lack of facilities, including closure of toilet facilities at night or for the winter…
Mr “G” is a truck driver?! omfg LoLoL
I took Metro North from Brewster NY to Grand Central on a Sunday this fall. With a bad knee, I had to take the elevator to get to the platform. It stank so much of urine and was so filthy (Windows, etc) that it was horrifying ( I was a cop for 25 yrs and don’t shock easily) Metro North’s reply was that they clean the elevators daily and couldn’t understand. They lied like a rug and do so regularly.
I do dislike people that disparage pigs. They are ‘naturally housebroken’ and will do their business as far away as possible from where they eat and sleep. Pigs are very clean animals, if their owners allow them to be. As far as humans go: “Plan Ahead”! Not everyone has a 2-litre soda bottle in their Freightliner cab.
