I’m going to Chicago on vacation on Aug. 9th. And meeting up with Rich (richhotrain).
I am going to Rich’s house to operate his Dearborn Station layout, and we are planning 2 operating sessions. We are also playing golf at his country club.
Both Rich and I, have never ran full operations with other people (we are both solo operators), so it will be a learning experience for both of us.
Just wanted to let everyone know, how much fun I’ll be having in Chitown!!!
Wow Michael, that sounds like it will be a great time. Its great to be able to meet other model railroaders here on this forum. I have met two people from the forum but only been able to visit just one of their layouts. the other one I met up with was at a train show. Not sure if ether of those two guys play golf or not, but its always fun to meet new model railroaders. Wish I could go with you but I’ll be heading in the other direction. I will going down to the Fort Myers Fl .area Sept 28th for about week. So if any of you model railroaders down there would like a visit , let me know and we can set something up.
