A quick question to anyone who has any of the Walthers Gold Ribbon Structures. I see that they are snap together. Can they be easily disassembled for storage?
Thanks

I have a couple of them and they are nice but they are not completly snap together. Some parts will snap in and stay others need glue. The whole structure has blocks or pins to help hold them together but once they are built they are that way to stay. I like mine and I will buy more as needed.
SMassey,
thanks for the info. They do look good in the Walthers catalog and seem to be a quick solution for building a city/town scene.

I like them. They look good and go together easily. But I definately wouldn’t consider them a true “snap together” model. The pins and sockets just give you someplace inconspicuous to glue.
Aye. In most of my Gold Ribbon buildings I glue the walls and windows together. If I don’t I may find that an earthquake hit!
The snaps make the structures easier to glue together because there is something holding the parts together while applying the glue. They serve as a third/fourth hand in assembly. I wouldn’t rely on only the snaps. Use a modest amount of glue to keep it together.
Earthquake, Catzilla… same effect on unsecured structures. We should have named our cat F5.
