I will be in Minneapolis this week for a seminar. After the seminar I will be trying to check out some hobbyshops, any suggestions? I model in HO.
Thanks
John

Becker’s in New Brighton is great. Mostly HO. Scale Models in St Paul has good stuff, including non-HO and non-train stuff. There are others to be sure, but these are where I end up. Both are better than what I have seen in other states. I will be interested in what others will add to this,
Thanks for the suggestions, hopefully I will have time to check them out.

Hi,
Try Hub Hobby in Richfield. It has a ton of imported products and a great scenery collection. As well as a lot of other stuff.
The site is http://www.hubhobby.com/
It’s on Penn Avenue, a bit north of I-494 and west of the airport.
Good luck!

I strongly recommend Scale Model Supply. http://www.scalemodelsupplies.com/ It definitely has the largest train selection in town. It has at least twice the selection of the other hobby shops in town. It doesn’t look like much from the outside because it occupies the basement of a shopping center. Anyway, it is only about 1/2 of a mile north of I-94 on Lexington Parkway in St Paul, halfway between downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul.
If you’re looking to buy recent issues, Becker’s. A good supply of HO scale cars. He closes early. Scale Model Supplies is almost museum. If you’re looking for vintage kits they may have it. The Two Hub Hubby Stores are also worth a visit. There’s a couple of Hobbytowns with basic stuff.
