Just obtained some much needed track profile diagrams for my Ojai branch layout, the remaining right of way suggested a healthy grade leaving Mira-Monta, but now I know it to be 3.4% , darn, now i’ve got to rethink my motive power requirements, did SP double or triple head using smaller power or was this branch capable of supporting larger power such as 2-10-2’s as some secondary lines were?
I love when a plan doesn’t come together, the quest for answers continues!
