Grade Crossings UNDER pavement...

Now this is the sort of thing I was looking for…

http://www.railroadforums.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=36838

Can anyone help with pics /references /anything?

I know to beware of putting switches under anything that makes main temance and/or re-railing hard…

In H0… does anyone make a good overpass of this kind… just pics or leading dimensions would help…

hanks [:D][:D]

That page 404’d.

After the 404 message, there is a photo that comes up. Upon inspection of said photo, I can’t imagine why you’d want to model that type of overpass (and even if you did, you’d definately have to build that one yourself)!

404’ed again…

Indeed - I’m amazed the engineer is still in the cab…

Well Jeff, if thats the engineer, he’s probabley waiting for some clean britches. More then likely, it’s the bridge inspector getting ready to sign off that new overpass as being safe to use!!! [(-D][(-D]

I am amazed the guy under the trestle is still hanging around. Darwin Awards are waiting.

Don’t know what pic you’re ending up with…
The one I’m looking at (404 free) is a concrete road overpass with a pickup truck waiting for a covered hopper to cross (at right angles) ahead of it beyond an overhead set of crossbucks and lights.
Reason I want this?.. as a different scene break from the usual tunnel mouth. I figure that a combination of highwy overpass and on/off ramps should hide things nicely.
Those that don’t like things with rubber tyres… I can always model road works and a traffic back-up…

David,

The photo we’re all seeing is of a steam locomotive hanging on a broken tressel. Above the photo it says :

and below, it says :

Try clicking on the link yourself and you might see what we’re seeing.

That sounds more "interesting than the one I’ve found! Where is it?

I’ve copied the address again…

http://www.railroadforums.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=36838… which seems to be the same…

It’s in the photographs site I posted the other day… under structures and grade crossings I think… thanks for all your efforts.

The site is http://www.railroadforums.com/photos/

… but I can’t find the pic itself again for myself… anyway… there’s some fantastic pics here if you like browsing

thanks again.
