Graham Farish?

Okay, this was brought up in another thread about a week ago I guess. Now, I am interested in making a purchase (or two, maybe three[:D]) from this company, but they are overseas. Has anyone dealt with this company before, or its products? Any personal experience with their locomotives? Problems, et cetera?

Thanks!

I have an N HST which I got over 25 years ago. I haven’t run it lately but it worked just as good as anything else I have. I bought it by mail from a hobby shop in Brighton (UK) and they shipped it promptly.

Unfortunately this is not a recent experience it was way before the days of web sites and such. It was handled by telephone, international money order and mail.

IIRC, Graham Farish was recently acquired by Bachmann Industries.

that doesnt sound like a good thing
bachmann getting a hand on these guys

I know that much, and I have had good experiences with Bachmann, and I hope they will continue with Graham Farish.

I have some of their locos and rolling stock and they do quite well. Bachmann has been retooling a lot of the Grafar line at their Chinese plants and is getting back to a full line. From what I’ve seen in Railway Modeller reviews the new stuff is getting good marks. I don’t know if they sell direct but if you go to the main Bachmann trains website and click on the UK listing they will give you links to stores that sell their products if you can’t find a place here in the states which carries them. I believe Neal’s N-Gauge in Hampton NH carries them as they import a lot of other British products. I know he travels w/GATS besides having the store so you might want to look him up. Good luck.
