‘The Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board has received a $2 million grant from the federal government to build roads and sewers for two business parks and to develop plans to attract businesses to Onondaga and Madison counties.’

‘The remaining $500,000 from the grant will be used to develop a plan to reuse factory buildings on the Carrier Corp. campus in DeWitt, to prepare a master plan for the CSX train yard in Manlius and DeWitt and to develop site profiles for commercial development throughout the area.’

A ‘master plan’ for the CSX yard? Hmmm… I wonder what that could mean? Could this also be for the last topic I posted over here a few months ago about the couple from California that wants to build a Intermodal Yard on land that borders part of the northern edge of the yard?

In any case, this is interesting and I’ll be sure to try and find this so called ‘master plan’ at the town offices when the study is complete.
