Hi,

what is the correct blue on the GTW diesels? Microscale wrote the Floquil dark blue B110050 but this is too dark. Because Athearn and also Atlas … makes it lighter. So what?

The correct Floquil PolyScale color is 414358 - Is this too dark as well?

Hi Christian, Jim is correct on the Poly-Scale color number for GTW blue. I’ve painted a couple locomotives using the color and they do come out a little darker than the Atlas geep I bought RTR. However, in my humble opinion, the color from Floquil is closer to prototype than the Atlas color. They also have the correct GTW red, but if you can’t find it, I’ve used Chevy engine red with pretty good results (these are acrylics, I’ve not used enamels). Good luck. Gerry S.
