these cars are really nice and detailed to the T if you know what i mean and they really look great on the track to as i rolled them around the track i have laid down. i also road them over the switches to see if they had to much over hang and to see if they would hit the little light that is on the switch and it had about an 1 1/2" of clearance. but i really like these cars and i think i’m going to have just a train that pulls these twin stacks as they have in the atlas o catalog. this is just my opinion on these cars. if any of you guys have these cars please let me know what you you think about these unique cars.
I have these cars too and I really love them. Only problem is…I don’t have wide enough curves to run them yet! [:(] The minimum these cars will run is O-42 curves, so I am going to have to wait to run mine. I designed a simple floor layout in RR-Track that will make the use of O-80 curves as a big oval around the living room area with some sidings. Only thing stopping me temporarily is the lack of funds, but that will change soon. But the detail and the weight of these cars are awesome. I have so far five containers, but I plan to order five more soon. I gotten the Santa Fe 5-car set. Sometime soon I plan to add more to the collection.
My Dash-8 SF engine is perfect for these cars since the paint scheme matches. They will also fit in nicely with the Conrail five car spine set as well. I am going to try to build up a intermodal fleet of cars and hoppers as well.
Enjoy the Gunderson cars, Reggie. They’re awesome!
yeah i just bought a to pack of the twin stacks and placed them on 072 curves and like i said it looked great. i called chicagoland hobby before they closed and ordered the last two 5 sets they had and a 3 car set that had the 2 car set sold so thats a total of 13 units being sent to me i got them for i thing a nice price of $730 for all of them and they should be here sat or mon now why do i need more stuff to store under the table as i havent gotten one train running?
