Cat got skunked. Couldn’t find the source of the smell for 2 hours. We’re trying peroxide, baking soda and dishwashing soap.
try tomato sauce I here it works. If all else fails cats sleep well out side.
I also think there are some products availble commercialy try petsmart or some place like it… Good luck Chip.
Get rid of the cat.

True story: we were visiting friends in Kingston, ON, many years ago and they put their little puff-ball bichon frissee out the back door to do its business. We heard the lady of the house hollering and gagging, and she was at a loss as she held her lapdog at arms’ length. I told her to open a can of tomato juice and to wa***he dog. She did, and was pleased with the results. She got it all puffy and dry, and we had a good laugh. She put it out the back door once more…

polizi…yeah sauce would probably work also…I think I remember it’s something about the enzymes or chemicals the tomatoes have the neutralizes the skunk spray.

How’d you like to get nailed by that stench… LOL I was never a cat person until my Father died in 2001. I somehow managed to inherit 2 half grown kittens that had been my Father’s last project to raise in life. He was more concerned about what would happen to these little sweeties than what would happen to his wife. My Mom passed away last June… guess what I managed to inherit from her??? A little seven pound tabby. So now I have 3 cats (16lbs., 18lbs. and 7 lbs respectively) Love them all dearly as they are very lovie kittes. In effect I have gone from Cat Hater to Cat Hoarder in 3 years! Hope the air has… ah… shall I say… CLEARED at your house and you can get back to trains. [:D]
howmus-I know what you mean, I hated cats till a little stray kitten showed up on my porch. I started feeding her and,well, you know the rest. She’s actually prety cool and a great little mouser.But if she ever knocks one of my locos off the layout, it’ll be kitty burger time!

I took my dog walking one night down the road here where I live on a long leash several years ago. As we were going around the first curve, he suddenly jumped at something. If none of you guys have ever been sprayed by a skunk, let me tell you, it ain’t a pleasant experience. Anyway, me and the dog both got tomato juice baths that night, and the only clothes I was able to salvage was my shoes…
