Happy Halloween and Haunted Scenes....

Happy Halloween!

Just wanted to wish you all a Happy All Hallows Eve!

And to tie in with model railroading…does anyone model a haunted house on their layout, or a run down structure or house with lots of spider webs and such.

Show us your haunted scenes…

Just type in the keyword haunted in Walther’s advanced search and you get 25 items:

Boo!

Death waits for the #6 train. Nice to see that supernatural creatures are taking public transportation:

After taking his ride downtown, we find our friend hard at work. Old Lady Preiser had better watch her step on those stairs…

And of course as mentioned in another thread , death is standing on top of one of Rod Stewart’s buildings in the MR article.

Heh!

Death has made the rounds a bit I see…hope he gives out some candy to the little tikes on the layout too…

“Trick or Treat”

My railroad is primarily modeled in the ‘summertime’ but I do have a branchline that runs along a wall away from the main layout. As you go down the branch the leaves begin to turn and by the time you are 2/3’s of the way it is approaching Halloween. I have a banner across the main highway advertising the upcoming Halloween dance and several billboards in the area have Halloween advertising scenes. By the time you get to the end of the branch it’s November.

I found these billboards at www.billboardsofthepast.com, one of the best sites on the web for billboards to use on your layout.

Check out the Oil and Gas section, look under Texaco and the 2nd billboard shown (with the pumpkin) is one of the billboards I used. Another one can be found under the Food section. Look under Eddy’s Bread. I used the advertisement with the 'trick or treaters".
