And just to break yez all out o’ the bloody coronavirus doldrums here’s “The Four Kings of Ireland,” the Clancy brothers and Tommy Makem, with a rousing song that always gets me fired up! Enjoy!
Thanks! I actually saw the Clancy Brothers in concert, back in the 90’s. It was three of the brothers, plus a nephew, I believe. I believe all the brothers have departed this life.
It will be an interesting St. Paddy’s Day here in Minnesota. With all the bars closed per the Governor’s order, it’s actually more like the way it traditionally was in Ireland - a holiday with the bars and restaurants closed, and people at home having a quiet dinner with their family. But not eating corned beef and cabbage, bacon and cabbage would be the norm. (Corned beef and cabbage became “a thing” with the Irish in America.)
We had corned beef, cabbage, and irish potatoes at the evening meal today. I asked for Irish coffee, but none was available; I did get some green beer.
