Back at you Carl, Yes and as model railroaders we have lots to be thankful for, all the neat stuff that is avalible to us, now I would be really be thankful if I had the $$$$$ to buy it.

Happy Thanksgiving you Carl and everyone else on the board. I have a family in good health, a dog and cat that get along, and a garage full of layout and trains. Yup, life is good.

Quick question, Is Thanksgiving day also called the Holidays" ? I thought that the “holidays” were used instead of Christmas so no one is offended, is the term "holidays’ now used for every notable occasion on the calendar? just asking. I have never heard of Thanksgiving as the “holidays”

I think that Thanksgiving and the Solstice-related holidays have all blended together, at least as far as the Gods of Mechandising are concerned. It seems to me that Santa and Rudolph showed up as soon as Dracula left at the end of October. Traditionally, though, “The Holidays” is the term used by generic greeting-card manufacturers and secular-humanist politicians when they don’t want to “offend” anyone, except, unintentionally of course, the millions of people who are royally ticked that we can’t talk about Christmas or Chanuka any more.

I just put the tree up. Really, really too early, but it’s what the wife wanted, and, as Thomas Jefferson wrote, it’s important to “preserve domestic tranquility.” So, a happy holiday season to all of you, and God bless you, every one.

Hello to all you Model Railroaders of all scales out there.

I hope that all our friends South of the Border had a happy & healthy Thanksgiving holiday.

I hope that I do not offend anyone, but I am of the “OLD SCHOOL” and I would like to take this opportunity to wish EVERYONE a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy,Happy and Prosperous New Year as this is my particular religeous holiday season to celebrate.

I also will NOT take offence if anyone sends me best wishes for their particular Religeous or Cultural holidays or celebrations.
