I have the Miracle Castings shells of the BF20 PR Sharknose Diesels and wondered if anyone has sucessfully built them with Athearn PA1 frames and what problems if any they had. I don’t too much kit building other than the old Athearn Blue box cars and Walthers and other assorted buildings. If anyone can give me some tips on problems or better ways of doing some things to create a better looking loco before I dive in blindly.

I doubt if there are many people out there who have actually assembled these models. Miracle Casting did not last for long, they went out of busines quite some time ago. No doubt due in a great part to the quality of their products.

I saw one assembled a few years ago. It looked fairly simple to do but, I can’t vouch for that as I only saw the finished product. Pat Lawless is/was the creator of this kit and he is the moderator on the casting forum on Yahoo groups. You might be able to contact him there to ask any questions. I am not sure of the whole story on the business failure but, I do know there was a partner involved.
