Maybe you folks have discussed this stuff before but I could not find anything via the search engine (that another topic).

My Mom was asking about this stuff because she got something in the mail and thought my boys would like it. I told her I check it out first and this is what I found. http://hawthornevillage.collectiblestoday.com/ct/store/hw?LeftNav4

This stuff looks to be way more expensive that it needs to be. I guess your paying for the Thomas Kinade name. Also doesn’t look like something for the kids (big or small).

So here are the questions:

Is this stuff any good?
Is it worth the bang for the buck?
What is On30-scale?
Is this a Bachmann product under another name?

On30 is basically O scale running on HO size track. As for who makes their stuff I’m guessing they have some kind of deal where Bachmann makes some sets in colors and paint schemes just for them. I’d get an HO trainset if they have a Pittsburgh steelers one.

No offense to people who like Thomas Kinkade but $50 for a hand painted snow globe is crazy.

I bought some stuff at Walmart last year to do a small tree layout. 1/4 of the price.
