I figured i’d post this here since it’s not technically a singular scale problem… I have an Aristocraft Norfolk Western high nose SD45, number 1756(if that helps), and I want to fine detail it since I feel it’s a bit too generic as it sits. I’m modelling(in 2 scales) NW and Southern RRs in the time just before they officially merged into one(or if NW didn’t spend the money to repaint, lol). Basically what I’d like to find out is what kind of ditch/safety lights and horns the NW used on these engines, as well as other options such as plows and whatnot. THANKS!
http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/default.aspx is a very useful site for any MRR’R. There are pics of just about every type of loco & rolling stock there, and the search engine is not too bat either! [:)]
I’ll try the diesel detail forums… the rrpictures site doesn’t help me much because I’m not deep enough into things to tell stuff like horns apart by appearance alone… but thanks anyway!
