Help removing shell from athern gp-9

I need help removing the shell from athern blue box gp-9. Any drawings or diagrams or tips would greatly be appreciated.

Try this link, pry the shell just a bit buy the fuel tank, there are 4 tiny pins that just stick out that hold the shell on, it should come right off then.

i scratch build my hand rails out of steel wire or paper clips if needed and the file them in order to get a grip for the paint job

First Athearn has discontinued all metal handrails even for the GP7…I suspect handrails from the Walthers GP9M will fit seeing the old Athaern GP7 handrails fit the Walthers GP9M.
