I installed one in a blue box GP-38. After testing it was fine but when i put the shell on the head light and back light now light in reverse action now. The reverse comes on when going forward then the head light comes on in reverse.
So, before you put the shell back on, it all worked right? You tested everything, like the lights/direction? And it all worked fine BEFORE you put the shell back on?
If you did any programming to the sound decoder after you installed it, you may have altered a setting on the light-and-motion (‘regular’) decoder. You can either try changing the light control CVs so the front headlight goes on when going forward and vice-versa, or just read the amount in CV 29 and add or subtract one and enter that into CV 29.
I would suspect flippign the direction as well. The sound decoder has nothing to do with the F0 output, that’s straight from the motor decoder. The sound decoder doesn’t care about direction of travel,
After taking off the shell it fixed itself. It turn out i cracked the board when i put on the shell. i guess we learn from our mistakes. Thanks to all for the replies.
