Help with finding an N scale dealer in the states

Hey guys

Im from Australia and am going to Las Vegas and L.A early next year for a holiday. My question is,

Does anyone know where i can buy N scale trains at a good price, Im looking for a shop with good prices and alot of stock to choose from.

Any help would be appreciated.

My advice would be to check out the L. A. Yellow Pages phone book on-line, and look under hobby shops and/or train shops. That’s what I would do if I were going out that way.

Hi,
I make a photo copy of the directory of model retailers found in the back pages of MR and use it as a guide. It helped me many times.

If you’re looking for a shop you can visit in one of those cities, it might improve your odds of getting a useful reply if you edit your post title to specifically say “N scale dealer in L.A. or Las Vegas”.

Another thought would be to use one of the internet dealers that specialize in N scale. Assuming you’re going to be in those cities more than a couple of days and have a hotel reservation, you could arrange to have your purchases shipped to the hotel (either ahead of your arrival or while you were there). These dealers have good selection, very good prices, and usually quick delivery. You need to be sure that they can confirm the stuff is in stock. A few of the more often recommended N scale internet dealers are Wig-wag trains, Feather river trains, 4nscale.com, and blwnscale.com, although there are many others.
