Hello all!
I have inherited a discontinued roundhouse from Henjen (ConCor) with missing pieces (entry doors, roofing trim, etc)
Is there a resource to locate this stuff before I start kitbashing?
Thought it was Heljan.
I suspect that making the missing parts may be easier than waiting for something on an auction site.
I picked up a complete Heljan 3 stall round house kit a year ago on Ebay. I just did a search and there were several available.
Discontinued?
I’m not sure that’s the case, Tim!
If you check Walthers I believe you’ll see the same or similar item with the Walthers cornerstone name on it for about $63.
Walthers Cornerstone 3-stall roundhouse is similar, but is not the same. I made the mistake years ago of buying a Walthers and then a Heljan roundhouse kits, planning to make a 6-stall roundhouse. But turned out they’re different.
I also checked Ebay, a couple of the Heljan ones for a lower price on there now.
In the “might as well try it” department, you could contact Heljan online and see if they have any parts in stock that you need. Unlikely, but you never know.
Good to know, thanks.
Actually I should have asked what the differences are. My reasoning to suggest the cornerstone model was not to get it for replacement parts, but rather to suggest it as a total substitute instead of spending a lot of time and money scratch building parts for the “free” item.
