I love the new heritage units by Norfolk Southern and the ones By Union Pacific the Iowa Interstate RR has the Rock Island Heritage see it alot since i live inb their area. I hope the BNSF will carry the torch someday to have some Heritage Units i think it would help their image
I agree and so do a lot of other railfans. Andy Fletcher is a Facebook friend and he’s making sketches of how the units could look. He’s the one who designed the NS units.
I would love to see Frisco rolling on the rails again, even if it is just a heritage unit.
BNSF heritage would be nice to see.
Santa Fe- The old billboard or warbonnent scheme. The zebra scheme would be nice to see as well.
Burlington Northern- Cascade scheme. Hockey stick would be neat to see.
CB&Q- Chinese red or Everywhere West. One painted chrome would be amazing.
Great Northern- Empire Builder is the only option IMO
Northern Pacific- I don’t know anything about the scheme besides a yellow stripe down the side.
SP&S- Black with a large yellow stripe down the middle.
Frisco- Orange & white, I prefer the original FR-F1 scheme. A meteor scheme would be great too.
i asked BNSF directly about having heritage units and there said they wont have any.
given how there’s still a plethora of Sante Fe and BN patchout loco’s out there, I can understand why. Also they did start a Heritage Railcar program recently

I also know 18 paint scheme for to be on BNSF Heritage Engines.
