so i bought the 6365 union pacific RailKing SD60M for O-27 and i think i locked it into nuteral i had it moving for a minuet kept getting hung up on a switch but i stopped it replaced the switch with a turn peice then went back and the engine wouldnt move only sound worked
the manual is kinda confusing saying to throttle up and throttle down like 40 times to access a reset function.
i also want to know how to work the horn cause each time i hit the horn its the bell. it says in the manual it works on any compatable ac transformers and the lionel KW is on there i dont know what im doing wrong any suggestions

I don’t know about the neutral function or anything, but I’d try reversing the polarity on your transformer. The horn/bell functions work the same way but depend on polarity. Also, if it has some kind of a Protosounds system you’ll want both bell and horn control. Long story short, you can’t access features without one. Fortunately, you can add a bell control by routing the positive electricity through a D Cell battery. I don’t have a schematic, but I can throw one together at some point here and send it to you.

Here’s a design for a battery controller for the bell. I haven’t tested it as I have no locomotives with a bell, but it also works for a horn provided that you reverse the direction of the battery. Also, that SPDT switch should preferably be momentary (but that’s hard to find). Since momentary ones are hard to find, I usually use household style switches–they’re mighty cheap! For that, a three-way switch would work, if I remember correctly.
