Hi all , new to your forum and to modeling. I have been collecting for many years but never built a layout.
So now that my son is 2 my wife and I thought it would be good time to start. Would anyone mind if I picked your brain.
Welcome to the forum ! There is a lot of info on here . As far as the brain picking goes , it may be slim pickings for Me .

I was in the same boat: fifty years of collecting cool stuff, now all totally irreplaceable…go back a ways, into the older message threads in here, and find the recent one about modelling just a “diorama.” It allowed me the chance to use the “skills” I wasn’t really sure I had, but had only READ ABOUT in 50 years of the magazine.
While that doesn’t give me room to RUN anything, it was A LOT OF FUN for me, as well as terrific practice for the IF and WHEN I have time to set up an actual “layout.”

Welcome aboard, believe it or not, there is a certain characteristic of being new and being able to just start fresh that at least I am jealous of. There are many opportunities ahead and this is a good place to start.
to the forums Junnie77—and regardless of some of these people saying they have things like brain cramps and such -----they still know a lot more than they let on!!![:-^][#welcome]
Welome! Like BC said there’s a wealth of info these guys can give regardless of what their modesty says. Fire away and see what we mean.
