I wanted to build a bridge that I could hide away when not in use and I think I hit on a design that will wok.

Link dosen’t link. Someone smarter than me about computers will have to tell you what you have to do to fix it.
One thing you want to be sure of is that when your bridge is out, is that your track each side ot fhe gap is disconnected for some distance to keep trains from taking the plunge.
