Other than the K-line Statue of Liberty kit, are there any pre-fab historical monument kits for O Scale? I’ve made some city park statues by sticking plastic soldiers on pedestals. But I would love to add the St. Louis Arch, Lincoln Memorial or Mount Rushmore to my layout. I haven’t had much luck finding such kits on the internet.
I’m sort of tinscaling, so souvenirs will work. For example, an Eiffel Tower figurine (with or without clock in the base) might work.

A quick Google search shows that the St. Louis Gateway Arch is 630’ high, the Mount Rushmore figures are 60’ high, and the Eiffel Tower is 111.5’ high. Convert these to O scale (1/4"= 1’) and see how big they would be! Waaay beyond a possibility!

I am aware of Mt. Rushmore being done commercially a couple of times for HO (certainly not to actual scale), while the White House, U.S. Capitol and the Statue of Liberty have been available, mainly in N scale, over the years. However, most monuments/famous structures are ill-suited to anything like scale reproduction because of their enormous size and this is probably why so few have been offered. In 1/48 the Eiffel tower would scale out to about 20 actual feet tall; the Washington Monument around half that!
On the other hand, souvenir representations of a wide variety of structures (mostly around a foot or so tall) can be had a modest prices if you check on-line under that subject.

Thanks for the initial replies. I’m tin-scaling, so accuracy is not necessaraly needed. More important is sizes. I only have 10 to 12 inch clearance to play with.
Searching for the HO Rushmore sounds like a good start. I figured someone would have done a plastic Lincoln from his memorial but all I’ve found have been marble reproductions.

Depending on where you live in the world, a rare model exists of the Famous
Ft.Knox Depository. It is only found in Kentucky and was scratch built for a James
Bond movie. This is not a hard structure to model, But extremely difficult to get
exactly all measurements of it. Very tight security. I am attempting one in HO scale.

With regard to the posts by Eastcoast and Kentucky, if memory serves me right way back in the mid 1960’s someone like Revell offered a plastic model kit for this very structure. It was indeed based on the same model that appeared in the James Bond film Goldfinger. Not sure whether it was in N or HO.

Not being one to attack back, but I will defend my honor !
I have actually seen the model that is housed in the Fort Knox Patton Museum.
I as well have seen and know about the actual Depository. It is NO secret.
Public photos are available of Ft. Knox and its famous buildings. An HO scale
of this is not difficult to do. I was not authorized to have personal photos so I
am doing my best from brochures and the net.
