History Channel!!!

On Tuesday May 9th, at 10pm EDST on the HISTORY channel, the program is titled " MEGAMOVERS. They will be showing how huge Steam Engines are moved from storages to run again. It should be a great show. NOTE: A previous post by Ron stated EST, we are now on EDST, we don’t want you to miss the show by an hour.

There was a show here on Saturday i believe, called Wild West something. Ive seen it many times. They always show something different, so i make sure i check it out. They show a lot of steam. This time it was logging railroads. History channel rocks! If you go to their website, you can order the vids

On the Santa Fe list it was said that this program will show the move of the Madame Queen in Amarillo, TEXAS. That would be Santa Fe’s #5000 2-10-4. All aboard!

What is “EDST?” I’ve heard of EST - Eastern Standard Time, and EDT - Eastern Daylight Time, but I’ve never heard of EDST.

They did a Mega show a while back on moving a UP Big Boy and UP Centenial to a new UP museum. It was pretty cool. Wild West Tech has some great train footage!

EDST= Eastern Daylight Savings Time (I guess). Ever see that show ‘Trains Unlimited’? I think it’s on History Channel. It’s pretty cool. They had a really good one on infamous train wrecks once.

For those who were a little confused as to EDST I apologize for not adding the definition. As Surfstud31 assumed correctly, it stands for Eastern Daylight Savings Time. Not all areas of the country go to Daylight Savings Time in the Spring, so I wanted to make sure you guys would get the correct time for your area based on EDST.
