HO Scale blinds for Passenger cars?

I see in some kits they come with them, however…does anyone know where you can purchase just the blinds to add into the cars?

Thanks

Craig

The Walthers HO scale catalog doesn’t list any passenger car window blinds, but you can print your own with a software program called Window Designer by Evan Designs. Their web site is http://www.modeltrainsoftware.com

Threaded sealing tape looks like venetion blinds on HO cars, but I don’t remember RR cars using them. Doesn’t mean they didn’t have them - just that I don’t remember them.

Most cars had spring loaded shades that pulled down and locked on the sides. They were dk.green and blocked out the light if you wanted to sleep (both heavyweight Pullmans AND Lightweights).

This would require car shades to be at a different heights. SOMEONE always wanted to sleep, while someone else was looking out the window.

I have seen masking tape and Post-its used on the interior to make shades - looked pretty good to me. Just vary the size on each window to vary the height.

Cigarette rolling papers work good for HO scale shades. I you want thicker material use Post-It notes, lots of colors to pick from. An even thicker source is file folders.
