HO turnouts

A while back Model Roader Magazine tested a jig for building turnouits. I have looked through my past issues but cannot find the artical. As I remember, there were grooves to hold the rail while ties made from printed circuit board that were soldered to the rails. Can anyone help me find the manufacturer of these jigs? Thanks .

Fast tracks is the company. Everyone that has tried them, seems to like them.

Thanks Alan, just what I was looking for.

I checked out the Fast Tracks booth at Cincinnati in 2005; I built myself a track assembly jig over twenty years ago when I began to build my own N-Scale switches. Mine is a little more elaborate with a slide that enables me to lay out switches from #4 to #20 in .1 inch divergent increments. It is built of stainless steel and weighs over thirty pounds. I can also file and solder the frog with the track in place on the jig.

If I’d have known there was a market for such a contraption I would have marketed it when I first invented it. My jig cost me, I figure, about eleven dollars in 1984.
